Sundown Cinema: All About Dad (2009) (public event)
Group:
Sundown Cinema is pleased to present All About Dad (2009). Emerging out of nowhere to win a standing ovation and the Audience Award for Best Feature at Cinequest, as well as an extended run at Camera 3 Cinemas, this funny and heartwarming film, shot entirely in Silicon Valley, tells the story of four young, talented adults who return home for the holidays and how they deal with their strict, disapproving, Vietnamese immigrant dad. Written and directed by SJSU grad Mark Tran, the film's excellent cast revisits the universal story of New World vs. Old World values with a freshness and humanity that resonates with all audiences, native born and immigrant.
Movie Synopsis: Watch the film trailer on YouTube. Read about the film in The Metro.
Where & When: Movies will be shown outdoors in the parking lot next to Orchard Valley Coffee near the corner of E. Campbell Ave. and Central Ave. Start times for each movie will depend on when the sun sets. Shows usually begin between 8 and 9pm, once it's dark enough to see the film. Don't forget to bring a chair and a blanket! No alcoholic beverages and no smoking, please.
