Campbell Library is pleased to present Gail Tsukiyama, author of six best-selling novels including Women of the Silk, The Samurais Garden, and her latest novel, The Street of a Thousand Blossoms.
Gail Tsukiyama, born in San Francisco to a Chinese mother from Hong Kong and a Japanese father from Hawaii, earned her Master's degree in English from San Francisco State University. She has been a part-time lecturer at SFSU, UC Berkeley, Assistant Professor at Mills College, and a freelance book reviewer for the SF Chronicle and Ms Magazine.
