Symphony SV Summer Pops: Your Hit Parade (public event)

Join Symphony Silicon Valley for our final Summer Pops Concert of the season, sponsored by Diane and Lee Brandenburg of Willow Glen's Brandenburg Properties. The party will start at 5:30pm with a free ice cream social until the concert begins.  Admission for this event is free.

Our theme for tonight is Your Hit Parade. Your Hit Parade was one of the most popular programs on radio and early television, 1935-1955. A weekly countdown of the top Pops music of the day, including Big Band numbers, Ella Fitzgerald, the Andrews Sisters, Bing Crosby and early Frank Sinatra, the program defined the youth of a generation. Tonight, Symphony Silicon Valley's 26-piece big band and our singers will recreate that era, performing time-honored ballads, one-hit wonders, and novelty songs.

The performance will be held on the grass at SJSU Green. Enter at 4th Street and San Carlos Street and bring a picnic dinner and your blanket or beach chair.
