Green Planet Yarn: Hawthorn Bag Step One (public event)

Green Planet Yarn in Downtown Campbell is pleased to present Hawthorn Bag Step One. This class will be held on Tuesday September 14th. There are two other classes in this series, Step Two, and Step Three.

This lovely bag is designed by Louisa Harding and is featured in her Little Cake pattern book. The pattern may be downloaded from knittingfever.com or by purchasing Little Cake. Step One class participants will receive a glossy card stock copy of the pattern with their yarn purchase. This class is the first of three parts, all offered as separate classes. Individuals who want to learn the stitch pattern and managing the yarn color changes should sign up for Step One. Participants who sign up  for all three classes will receive a 10% discount off the class fees for all three.

Suggested materials: Available from GPY: Four colors Louisa Harding Willow Tweed, two balls main colors, one ball each contrast colors, US size 8 and 10 needles, four metal purse feet (optional**), Tapestry needle, Purse handles, Snap closure (optional) . SUPPLIES to acquire at craft stores: one yard iron-on interfacing (sample from Bobbin's Nest Studio), 1/2 yard of fabric, or amount needed to line purse (sample from Bobbin's Nest Studio), beads for flower centers (optional), Sewing thread in coordinating colors, Sewing needle, card stock or flexible plastic for base (optional* - GPY sample used a flexible cutting board sheet). PLUS remember your tool kit and scrap yarns in contrasting colors, for embroidered daises.
