Are you not doing a toddler/ preschool time earlier in the day anymore? is there a reason why.Our mommy group usually attends that time, we get to avoid the big kids.
I noticed that there was no early morning trick-or-treating this year, aren't alot of the buinesses closed on Monday's?

There will be no morning trick-or-treat this year in Downtown Willow Glen - there will only be one trick-or-treat event for all ages of children. If you have any questions, please phone the office of the Willow Glen Business Association at 408-298-2100.
No early Tric or Treating, That's unfortunate. I along with my children look forward to it every year.
The children are able to enjoy themselves without the worry of being frightened by scary costumes from older children and/or adults that usually attend later that day.
I personally thought that there were more then plenty early Tric-or-Treaters last year.
Well, that's to bad. Honestly, we might not attend simply to avoid the extra crowded sidewalks along with the expected scary costumes that my little ones wouldn't enjoy, yet.
Will there be dog trick or treating this year on the ave?

I too will not attend this year, I'm not a fan of the one time, all age group for trick or treating. It's crowded enough with just little ones, but to add big kids will be too much and take away the fun. Sad, it had become a tradition for us. I am thankful for the fun memories in the past and appreciate all the hard work everyone does for the kids.
I too will not attend the one time only trick-or-treat and am sad the toddler one is not happening. Was totally looking forward to taking my son while my daughter was in pre-school having her party

I agree with the reasons others posted, the scary costumes, older children amongst the little ones in the huge crowd. Very sad
Why is there no toddler/preschool time this year? So what some businesses are not open early or whatever on Monday's, it's a tradition. Could we please get an answer so we can just know instead of calling for an explanation.
We are also very sad to see that the toddler
Trick or treat is no longer available. This has been a family tradition for both of my daughters and their children. It was always safe and non threatening for the little ones. I enjoyed it because Grandma tagged along, enjoyed the day and shopped. It's too bad, Willow Glen won't be seeing any of my money this year.
BOO to not preschool time! My daughter has school until after 3pm which leaves us no time to attend then.
Stop being so dramatic! The bigger kids wont get out of school till about 3pm. Its unfortunate that people wont be taking their children out to enjoy a tradition just because they cant be accommodated to with an earlier time. I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and I be attending. Thank you Willow Glen for continuing the tradition even through these tough economic times.

I'll keep the traditon going my twins are four and half and in private school, (kindergarden) 7:55am to 3:30pm. I'm keeping them home for a fun day! what's one day to remember the memories. Life is to short! The big kids are still kids so let them be kids and join the fun. Don't forget you were a kid once. Thank you Willow Glen for your Treat!!!
thank you WGBA for continuinhg the tradition. i was sad to hear Trick or Trunk was cancelled, so thank you to all the businesses that participate and fund this tradition. I can only imagine the prep that goes into preparing and being ready and honestly i think the merc hants and the trick or treaters enjoy it regardless. I undersatnd the concern of over crowding and the smaller ones and especially smaller ones in strollers...it can feel overwhelming. Next year, For those with little ones, try starting on the opposite side. Instead of starting at Minnesota, start at Coe. Less crowded and there are buisnesses handing out treats. Willow Glen Funeral Home had a table outside with candy and bookmarks for the kids to color. Once it gets crowded you can turn around and come the opposite way. and then, you havent missed out on a Willow Glen Tradition.
