Everyone is invited to join the Social Wave Book Club as we discuss Maphead: Charting the Wide, Weird World of Geography Wonks by Ken Jennings.

Maphead recounts Jennings's lifelong love affair with geography and explores why maps are so fascinating to so many people. The book takes readers on a world tour of geogeeks, from the London Map Fair to the bowels of the Library of Congress and the prepubescent geniuses at the National Geographic Bee to the computer programmers at Google Earth. Jennings delves into different aspects of map culture and also considers ways in which cartography has shaped our history.
