One Brick (www.onebrick.org) is a 501©3 non-profit organization that provides support to other local non-profit and community organizations by creating a unique, social and flexible volunteer environment for those interested in making a concrete difference in the community. This enables people to get involved, have an impact and have fun, without the requirements of individual long-term commitments.

When we finish each volunteer project, we gather as a group at a local bar or restaurant for food, drinks and the opportunity to continue to get to know each other. This helps to create a really fun social outlet as part of your volunteer experience.

Event Description

The San José Children's Faire hosted by the San José Public Library will mark its 24th consecutive celebration with over 60 booths and special attractions. Booths are staffed by local non-profits, community organizations, local government services, and business which provide services for families with young children. Nearly 6,000 families attend this Faire. Children enjoy hands-on projects and games while their parents and caregivers received information on programs and services.

What we'll be doing

One Brick will assist with event set-up and and guiding booth participants to the proper location.

What you should know

Dress for the weather: hat, sunscreen, waterbottle etc. Event takes place rain or shine!

Volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt. Snacks will also be available.

Check in at the volunteer check-in booth upon arrival.
