Join the Social Wave Book Club for a discussion of Then We Came to the End by Joshua Ferris.

Bookmarks Magazine writes: "Anyone who has spent time in corporate America will recognize the inhabitants of Joshua Ferris's office: the Gossip, the Whiner, the Stapler Thief—and why not? Statistically, Americans spend more time with coworkers than with their families. Ferris, a former cubicle dweller himself, has created a rich cast of characters whose depth and realism surprised reviewers...While the piercing, razor-sharp wit will keep readers laughing out loud, the plot twists and sudden character revelations make Then We Came to the End an insightful, intelligent commentary on humanity and individualism in the workplace."

I will go, but I haven't finished the book. So be easy on me. I have a good excuse for not finishing.

It's o.k. if you haven't finished the book yet, Tammy. Sometimes life intervenes. Is everything o.k. with you?

Actually, I had mono. Can you believe that??? I was off work for two weeks and basically slept and watched tv. I could've read but I kept falling asleep -- not because of the book though. Of all the things to get. I never got it in high school and I get it now. I guess I should've kissed more guys in high school. wink.gif

I've been back at work since last Wednesday. I'm feeling okay, but I'm a little tired still. Glands aren't swollen anymore. Yay!

    See you tonight.

Oh, I'm taking an online poetry class. I'll tell you about it tonight.

Kind of tired. My first full week back at work and I'm feeling the effects as the night progresses.

so what did you all think of the book? Don't give away the ending for me though. So far, I do enjoy it. It's kind of a sicker and even more twisted version of Dilbert.
