Early Fall BBQ at Sheldon, Mary, & David's House (public event)
Event Expired
This event has passed and RSVPs can no longer be submitted, but you can still post a message to this event's discussion thread.
It has been way too long since we last had a BBQ here at our house. We used to have many BBQs every year, but things happen and its been two years since the last time we grilled in the backyard. The world famous 1083 drink turtle has been eagerly awaiting to serve for two years and he's happy as a plastic turtle can be to have friends, family, and neighbors back again.
We'll be firing up the grill at noon on Saturday, September 29th and you're welcome to hang out all day or just come by for a quick bite and a hello on your way onto the many elsewheres that await on a early autumn Saturday.
Let's Talk About the Food!
We'll supply burgers, hot dogs, chicken, buns, and some drinks. You can supply chips, more drinks, and any easy peasy packaged stuff that we can sock away in a pantry in case we end up with too much food.
If you want to bring more meats, fancier food, or anything home made that has a shelf life, that's terrific! Just let us know what you're bringing so we don't end up with four gallons of jello salad that has to be eaten within three days as a result of your largese.
If you're short on time or the pressure of deciding what to bring is killing you, just bring yourself. We'll just be happy that you made time to come by, say hello, and chat up with other neighbors, friends, and family.
If you want alcohol, it's BYOB and you just need to bring enough for yourself and maybe a few friends.
Etc etc etc
We've got a lot of board games and if people are in the mood to play, our living room or backyard is a great place for that.
Please RSVP so we know how many people we need to be prepared for! Feel free to bring a friend with you.
How to get here
I'll send out directions to our house by email to all who have RSVP'd a couple of days before the BBQ.
