Updated: I'm moving the time up to 7:00pm.

Sorry for making this so last minute, but if anyone wants to come join me to do some photography of Halloween displays in Los Gatos, I welcome the company. There are a bunch of seriously worked up displays close together within a 3 to 4 block grid near Downtown Los Gatos.

We can meet at the Great Bear Coffeeshop in Los Gatos and then set off on foot for about an hour or so to shoot displays of the houses in the nearby neighborhood. You'll need a camera (obviously) and I recommend bringing a tripod. If you're new to snapping pics of light displays in low light environments, I'll be happy to give you some tips so you can some photos like the ones I have here:

I'm planning on going Oct 30th to avoid all the trick or treaters, but the 31st is also an option. If you're game, just RSVP and I'll coordinate with you to figure out the rest.

Hi Sheldon! I am interested, if you are going to do it tonight. I like to be home to pass out candy to the kids myself on the 31st. I will be working today until about 5, so it would have to be this evening for me. You can call and let me know and I can meet you directly.

Ooh, sounds cool. But would only be able to join first 1/2-hour, as Tuesday I have volleyball class. You probably wouldn't really get started until around 7:30pm anyways?

Nah. I think they're gonna start right out of the gate at 7pm. Sheldon's planning to leave home to be on time to meet Rebecca. Why don't you join them, Don? There are some fun places really nearby the cafe.

Hey Don, you're welcome to join us for however long you can/want. I'm not sure how fast it'll go. We can definitely walk by the majority of the houses in half an hour, but if you throw in some time to do a bit of shooting, it may slow down a bit.

Man, there are some nice Halloween house decorations on display in Los Gatos!

Here are the better pics that I got last night:

Most of the houses were on Tait Ave. and Massol Ave. They're both parallel with North Santa Cruz Ave. in Los Gatos. There are also good displays on the cross streets and the most elaborate display was on Ellenwood Ave. near Hernandez Ave.

Hope your outing went well. Look forward to seeing some of the spooky shots. I didn't get the "new post" tickler until 3:30am (and wasn't monitoring webpage), so missed feedback. But that's OK, I was dead-tired before my class and just had to take a nap.
