Join us for Social Wave's February Dinner Social at Mama Mia's Ristorante Italiano. The food is good, the service is good, and it's a fun place to hang out with a group of people. The owner, Frank Leamy, has been particularly supportive of Campbell events, donating time, food, and financial support to local activities and charities.

So come on down for good conversation, good laughs, and way too much food! As always, all are welcome, just RSVP so I can tell the restaurant how many chairs to place around the table. We're a pretty informal, friendly bunch that meets monthly. Don't worry if you don't have a "significant other" or friend to bring with you - just come as you are. You'll make new friends before you know it.

So how did it go. I always wish people would post comments after events so we know what we missed and how the turnout was. I try to do every week for volleyball or any of my socials. I want others to know what they are missing. We have so many good people in this group, lets get them to participate. How was the gathering, the food, the service....

BTW I run into people that say they love Social Wave events and have a real good time. My turkish friend loves the group for ideas. He has went to several campbell events (especially loved October Fest) and keeps an eye on the calendar for social activities.

Aaron, I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with a family emergency - those can be really stressful. I hope everything's o.k. now. Don't worry - you managed to change your RSVP before the event, so we knew that something was up. Sheldon and I always check the event page before we leave for one of these events. Alternatively, in the future, you can send me a personal message through the system as long as you're logged into the system as a member (just click on my username, and it will take you to my profile, where you can elect to send a personal message).

Joe, the food was good, the company was good, and the evening was a nice one! The turnout was pretty good - 8 people - which for us is about standard these days, although sometimes we get lucky and have more. I think the service at Mama Mia's is good. They're always nice about serving a larger group like ours, and they don't complain when we're short a couple people from our original reservation - sometimes we run into places that aren't quite as easy-going about it. I was missing Don Able's silly sense of humor, but Brian and Becca made up for it. smile.gif

Now that we're well past the holidays and holidays hangover, the dinner socials group can hopefully get going again like it used to be. We always had pretty good turnouts.

We'd love to pick some new places to try. We're always looking for suggestions and we'll post a topic to invite people to suggest the next location. Usually people don't throw out their suggestions that way unless they're already regulars in the group, but once in a while an open request for input might entice a few new people.
