Willow Glen Children's Theatre is having their famous Theatre Camp this Summer!
All the magic happens at Willow Street Bramhall Park. It offers nice open spaces for performances, lots of trees to shade the actors, a safe playground for the lunch hour, and an amphitheatre for the final performance! Mixed with exciting activities, this camp is a lot of fun!
A Typical Day: Children sign in at 10am and start off the day playing improv games. These games challenge the kids to think fast on their feet and work together to entertain their fellow campers. We play a variety of games which include small and large group involvement. At 12 noon the camper break for lunch for one hour.
At 1 o'clock the kids return to all the theatre fun. The second half of the day focuses on create original improvised scenes. The campers are placed into small groups and given exercises in which each group will create a scene to perform for the rest. Ultimately, these prepare the actors for the final performance.
Every Summer Theatre Camp ends with a performance on the amphitheatre. This day features a family potluck and an awesome award ceremony!
