Chuck McCabe House Concert (public event)
Group:
Chuck McCabe returns to TrueWind Music House Concerts with the release of his fourth studio CD, Creatures of Habit in a World of Change.
Chuck is one of our South Bay local heros. He's appeared on festival stages worldwide - including being voted audience favorite at the Boston Folk Festival.
What's a house concert you ask?
All throughout the world, patrons of the arts are opening their homes to independent musicians and inviting their friends to enjoy an evening listening to music that isn't typically heard on the radio. Acoustic roots music, jazz, Celtic, folk, singer-songwriter... the possibilities are endless.
In our case, we present music in our home about once a month. This is not a business - we don't take any money. We ask for a suggested donation on a sliding scale of $15 - $25 on behalf of the musicians. All donations go to them. We provide coffee and dessert between sets.
And its all right in your neighborhood!
The concert on July 25 features Chuck McCabe with Rolfe Wyer on bass. Best known for his satrical songs, Chuck's wit and wisdom shine through in his latest work including a father's admonision "we're Chevy people, son..." and the ugly realty of the holidays... with fruitcake and mayonaise, and relatives that stay for days...
Chuck is one of those artists who is tailor made for the intimacy of a house concert. He's personable, witty and a master songwriter.
All the information about how to attend is on the TrueWind Music Web site at http://www.truewindmusic.com/HC
