Jazz with the Stompers at the Pub (public event)

Put an exclamation point on the New Year's weekend by coming out to hear New Orleans traditional jazz as performed by the South Bay Stompers, with yours-truly on cornet, at the Britannia Arms Restaurant and Pub in Cupertino. We play there on the first Sunday of each month. From the youngest to the oldest, all enjoy the foot-stomping sounds of dixieland jazz!

The Stompers feature Don Abel, cornet; Joe Doll, trombone/leader; Ray Buhler, clarinet; Bill Van Dorn, banjo; Jerry Johnson, piano; Paul Bostwick, tuba; Tom Beckman, drums; Florence Beckman, vocals. The Britannia Arms (directions) at Cupertino is the original pub that was started twenty odd years ago by an ex-pat British Silicon Valley engineer and soccer player who was thirsty for a post game pint.

The Pub is located on De Anza Boulevard right off Highway 85. Drop by for a pint and sample their famous fish and chips, bangers, burgers, ribs, steaks or any number of the wide variety of foods that are offered.
