Multi-day Event (starts: Sat, Aug 29th - ends: Sun, Aug 30th, 2009)
Group:
Come to Downtown Willow Glen for the 29th annual Italian American Heritage Foundation's Italian Family Festa! The popular Italian Family Festa is the oldest and largest event of its kind on the West Coast, taking place Saturday, August 29, 11am-9pm and Sunday, August 30, 11am-6pm.
The Festa has shared the full richness of being Italian with hundreds of thousands of patrons and has become a superb showcase in the folklore of glorious Italy, with its Italian Village atmosphere, food, costumes, art and photo exhibits, games, and musical entertainment.
An essential part of our Festa deals with the promotion of Italian culture! We'll have arts and crafts booths, delicious Italian food, a tarantella contest, a grape stomping contest, and Willow Glen's own Italian American Connection exhibit.
