UPDATE: We are not taking Christmas in the Park out of the bus tour this year. Besides being a fun slice of San Jose tradition, Christmas in the Park provides an awe inspiring bathroom break.

Hi everyone,

I'm putting the finishing touches on the tour for this year and part of that involves listening to hours and hours of really awful Christmas music to find the handful that strike the right balance of fun, thoughtful, peaceful, and sometimes a little irreverent for the trip soundtrack. I'll be the happiest person on the tour because it means I can end my non-stop binge of Christmas music.

We're booked full and there are a number of people on the waiting list so if something comes up at the last minute and you need to revise your reservation or cancel, please let me know ASAP. You can email me directly at sheldon@hyperlinked.com or call me at 408.455.2559. I'll offer your spots to the people on the wait list and if they take it, I'll refund your admission to you.

We're almost all set for Saturday and it's looking like good weather for the tour! Please be at the starting location no later than 6:30pm. We'll be gathering at 595 Nido Dr. in Campbell. If you need a picture, please see here:

595 Nido Dr. is right behind a Safeway and a very large parking lot. You should have no trouble finding a spot to park.

Dress warmly and dress in layers because it'll be warm enough on the bus, but we'll be getting off the bus a few times and the trip is a lot more fun when you're not freezing your butt off.

The Social Wave server will be down for a couple of hours either tonight or tomorrow night so don't be alarmed if you can't reach the site for a while. I'll send another reminder on Saturday morning.

This is just a quick reminder that you need to be at 595 Nido Dr. by 6:30pm tonight:

I should mention that you may want to bring a small portable radio or some radio headphones for our first stop at a fantastic display in Sunnyvale that features a synchronized display to music that's transmitted over FM on 104.1fm. You'll need your own radio to hear the music. Also remember to dress warmly and wear good walking shoes.

The bus will drop us off at the Fairmont Hotel around 8:30pm for Christmas in the Park and pick us back up again at the same location around 9:30pm to finish off our tour with a cruise through Willow Glen and Campbell. We should be back around 10:30pm.

Finally, I also need to bring up something I've forgotten to announce. It's great if you want to bring some cookies or baked goods to share, but please no alcoholic beverages. Hot chocolate will be served when we get to the Sunnyvale display.

This is a quick update for those wait listed for the Winter Wonderland Bus tour tonight.

We still don't have any openings for tonight, but if you're still interested in going, please email me at sheldon@hyperlinked.com with your phone number so I can call you in case something opens up. If you wait listed within the past day, I have your phone number, but everyone else, please contact me just in case.

You also have the option of showing up at 595 Nido Dr. in Campbell just in case someone is MIA at departure time. Just have your $15/person fare ready and we'll transfer admission to you in the order that you're wait listed. I'll also publish the route that we'll be following tonight so you can check out some of the displays on your own if you don't make it on the bus. The route will be posted later today.

Just wanted to let you know my husband and I enjoyed the Christmas-light tour bus very much. We appreciate all the work that went into creating and organizing this event.
Great job. We are looking forward to the next one, in 2010.
