Community Center Trip: Kismet (public event)
Group:
Classic stories from the Middle East, with their poetry, mystery and humor have long fascinated the west. The story of Kismet is one such exotic gem; winning the 1954 Tony for best musical. Kismet is the story of Hajj, a beggar poet, who in one 24-hour period is caught in a complex dangerous situation that involves humor and love. Adapted from the lush melodies of Alexander Borodin and features “Stranger in Paradise,” “Bobbles, Bangles and Beads,” plus “This Is My Beloved.”
You do not have to be a Center member to participate in the tour: all adults age 18 and older are welcome; each child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost is $57 per person. The Monterey Senior Center Tours (known as "Golden 55 Travelers") depart from the Monterey Senior Center (Marina pick-ups are also available). All tours are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tours must be paid for when you sign-up. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and personal checks. Leave the driving and planning to us. Tours sell out fast, so don't wait! For more information and to register, please phone the Monterey Senior Center, 831-646-3878.
