Community Center Trip: San Juan Bautista (public event)

The Monterey Senior Center in the Lighthouse District is pleased to announce its Winter/Spring 2010 Tour Program! Our fifth excursion of the season will be to San Juan Bautista.

In 2008, San Juan Bautista was designated as one of a dozen Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservations. The San Juan Bautista State Park celebrates the first Saturday each month as living history with docents demonstrating spinning, candle making, dancing, loom weaving and much more. You will also enjoy exploring the charming art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants.

You do not have to be a Center member to participate in the tour: all adults age 18 and older are welcome; each child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost is $30 per person. The Monterey Senior Center Tours (known as "Golden 55 Travelers") depart from the Monterey Senior Center (Marina pick-ups are also available). All tours are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tours must be paid for when you sign-up. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and personal checks.
