Monterey CERT Emergency Response Class Begins (public event)

A new CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) class is scheduled Thursday evenings, 6:30-9:30pm, March 4 - April 15! CERT training is a wide-ranging class teaching emergency preparedness. Topics will include advanced preparations in home and at work, assessing structure damage, fire extinguisher use, securing utility meters after an earthquake, first-aid, rescue techniques, and assisting neighbors in an emergency.

We encourage community members, including local merchants, to consider attending the class and learning important emergency response skills. This is an excellent family experience - children age 12 and older must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.
