The Grapevine: Music with Laura Meyer (public event)

Stop by The Grapevine and enjoy the music of New York folk-rock artist Laura Meyer. Since 2007, Meyer has performed at hundreds of venues ranging from a tiny spirit store nestled amid medieval ruins north of Dublin to the main stage at the renowned Telluride Bluegrass Festival, where she performed in two consecutive years for crowds of over 10,000 people.

After completing a marathon tour at last summer’s Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Meyer returned to Manhattan to write what has become Miles From Nowhere, a collection of twenty songs inspired by 40,000 miles of touring. Recorded in a single session on August 11, 2009, the album explores a driving, electric sound in addition to the standout fingerstyle playing for which she has become known.
