Campbell Library: Book Publishing 1-2-3 (public event)

Sprinkled with a helpful handful of hints and tips (for example, how to find literary agents), this workshop is designed to inspire aspiring authors and boost their chances of getting published. We'll also follow the behind-the-scenes journey of a manuscript through the publication process, briefly discuss the children's book market, and check out the option of self-publishing. Other highlights include a couple of quick creativity exercises and our "Ask the Editor" Q&A session. Bring a pen, paper, and your questions!

Presenters: Veteran book designer Leslie Fitch, who works with university presses, and long-time book editor/proofreader Laurie Gibson, whose projects include The Color Purple and several titles by best-selling business author Brian Tracy.

This event is free and everyone is welcome!
