Comment on: High Marks, watercolor painting by Eric Christensen

"High Marks" gets its name from the perfect scores received by Joseph Phelps Insignia. It received 100 points from three different wine tastings! The composition is about the wine glasses and the quality of light coming into the painting. The lights and darks are very important in creating that special mood this painting portrays. Notice the light coming through the grapes; this is one of the most difficult fruits to paint.
