Album: June's Bits and Pieces ( Launch Viewer)

As many of you know, I do an extensive amount of freelance work. On Thursday, June 19, from a vantage point on Treasure Island, I was able to capture a setting full moon over San Francisco as dawn was breaking over the Oakland hills to the east. This particular arrangement occurs twice a year (June/Dec) and I've been chasing this image for over three years - have always been weathered out with fog in June and fog/clouds/rain in Dec. As with my Pigeon Point moon in March, the lunar weather fates seem to be with me this year.

The hummingbirds were visitors to Miki's recently installed feeder and we watched three of them for about half an hour as they buzzed the feeder and each other.
