Pet peeves and other annoyances People who don't know how to use "you're" properly. 95% of the population ALWAYS spells it "your," regardless of whether or not it's correct (and it almost always is incorrect). "You're" = You are. "Your" is possessive (i.e. Your dog). Most Americans have atrocious spelling and grammar skills, which is odd considering it is our first, and usually ONLY language. [br][br]Our medical system: we desperately need affordable health care for all. And I wish it were more prevention-focused rather than focused on curing disease and illness. Prescribing drugs for individual symptoms is usually just like putting a band-aid on a big gushing wound. Pharmaceutical companies are too powerful. Vitamins are WAY better than drugs in most cases. Drugs have very powerful side effects and can weaken your immune system. [br][br]When they play Radiohead on the radio, I HATE that 99% of the time it's "Creep" or "Karma Police". I like those songs but Radiohead has SO many more better songs that deserve airplay too! They have a catalog of 100+ great songs! |
