About the Computing and Technology Group
Computing and Technology![]() Contact Us | |
No matter what your particular interest is in the world of technology, there's countless sites that you can go to for massive and excessive commentary. Social Wave's Computing & Technology Group was created as a discussion group for tech professionals and hobbyists who would rather talk shop locally with people they actually might meet.
The leaders of this group are Jim Aspinwall and Sheldon Chang. Jim is the author of PC Hacks from O'Reilly and a numerous other publications including several other hardware releated PC books and the Computing in Campbell weekly column in the Campbell Express. Jim is also an expert in wireless networking technology and owns an amateur shortwave radio operator's license. Sheldon Chang is the founder of Social Wave and a freelance Web Developer with a specialty in social computing technologies.
Requirements:
PC Freaks, Mac heads, Linux users, engineers, bloggers, geeks, and anyone with an interest in computing technology. Join and you'll be on the new messages distribution list and will have full access to this group.
Locations:
This group is the home of the Independent Web Techies coffee meets and some occasional other tech related meets and mixers. Otherwise, most of this group's activities are held online.

I don't know how long Yahoo has had this -- but since I noticed it I have been testing it and have been amazed!
