Help » Service & Membership Policies » Social Wave Newsletters
Social Wave offers free or inexpensive email newsletter services to organizations that share our vision of building community through neighborhood interaction, local awareness, and support of locally owned businesses. In addition to our own weekly email newsletter, we also help produce newsletters for Downtown Willow Glen and Downtown Campbell.
Email Privacy and Subscriber Policies
Emails subscribed to any of the newsletters affiliated with Social Wave are kept strictly private and are not shared with any outside parties. Emails are also not shared between newsletter lists unless you specifically subscribe to more than one newsletter that Social Wave powers.
All email addresses must pass what's called a "double opt-in" before they will be included in mailings. This means that a subscriber must request the newsletter by filling out a subscriber form online and then must confirm that the submitted address belongs to him/her by clicking on a link we send to the submitted address. This process helps us prevent potential cases of abuse caused by people who sign-up for other people without their permission or by spam bots that use real email addresses when attempting to attack our site.
