Realizing there were few retail establishments from which to obtain dance costumes, a Middle Eastern dancer, Adira, started an online retail costuming business in 2002. As Adira's love of all forms of dance expanded, so did her dance costume offerings, from Belly Dance apparel to her most recent passion for Square Dance. Adira is known for unique and sometimes quite progressive designs. Adira sells costumes internationally of both her's and other's designs on her web site and at her retail location in San Jose, California.

Karen Stevens
Karen ("Adira") has been studying and performing various styles of dance since childhood, from tap and jazz to belly dance, ballroom dance, and square dance.

An accomplished seamstress for over 30 years, Adira has tackled challenging projects such as her own prom and wedding dresses. Her costuming expertise began to flourish in 1977, when she began creating Halloween and other masquerade costumes.
