My wife and I found this place two weeks ago. We were pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food and the fair price. The lamb and chicken are delicious. The texture of the lamb is amazing, tender and cooked to perfection. We came back tonight and still love it. I hope this place lasts a long time.

This is probably my FAVORITE place in Monterey! The food is AMAZING, The owners are very friendly, and they even have Belly Dancers Performing on Saturday nights!



Food

my personal Favorite is The combination Platter with Lam and Beef Kabobs, the meat is always tender and full of flavor, served with Rice, and Spinach. Now the spinach...even if you HATE spinach...you should try theirs It is amazing!(I always order and extra side) Their vegetarian platter is also VERY good. They also have a lot of different wines to choose from. Even BETTER the food is organic!



Atmosphere

Small cozy restaurant with great music playing in the background. The Owners and their waiters are all very friendly. The walls area all panted in warm welcoming colors and decorated with various photos, tapestries, and art works from The Afghan Culture. They have a bar with bar seating or you could sit at a table. At night the lights are dim and it has a very calming aura. Belly dance nights on Saturdays are really fun too!Truly mesmerizing to watch!!



My conclusion is...

Everyone should go try this place!! I love it!

I used to go to this place once a week and sadly moved to Los Angeles where I have yet to find food or service to beat this place. I look forward to going back when I visit and send my friends there. The atmosphere, the staff and the food all get a 10 from me.

What a delightful and excellent restaurant. The food was very tasteful, the meat was tender and the service was exceptional. The waiter was very friendly, told us about other dishes and the rice dish. Even though they were about to close for the lunch hour, there was no rush to get us out.

We will DEFINITELY return on our next trip.
