About the Artist, Owner
Phyllis Ann Jenkins
Phyllis Anne: learned the love of creating with her Grandmother "B", an artist highly esteemed by her community and family. Phyllis was considered to be the 'next artist' in the family. She distinguished herself as an art student in community and college before making a U-turn into business and psychology, collecting three degrees along the way. An ache to return to artist roots led her back to drawing and painting. Then she met Robert Seamans, renowned portrait artist, with whom she studied ...and then, local artist Mary Medrano with whom she studied design and acrylic painting. Concurrently studying Artist Way locally and with author Julia Cameron, Phyllis taught Artist Way locally creating a place where she and other artist gather to open all kinds of creative pathways. With this momentum, Phyllis opened the "Gallery of Dreams", fulfilling a dream to have a space to create and share art.
