Thumbs Up!
Twist Cafe recently moved INTO the small restaurant space previously occupied by Urban Ice Cream and the decor retains some of the look of the previous occupant, but that's where the similarities end. I've been noticing the healthy lunch crowds for some time now, but hesitated to give Twist Cafe a try because I didn't think downtown Campbell had room for another sandwich shop.
Well, this isn't just another sandwich shop. This is my new favorite sandwich shop. Everything on the menu looked good, but the marinated Tri Tip sandwich looked irresistable and indeed it was. Thick slices of tender beef tri tip are stacked on top of foccacia bread, tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, and topped off with spicy mayonaise. It'll make most other sandwiches taste like...like sand and you can upgrade your lunch for only a buck or two more than what you'd pay at a fast food sandwich deli.
Twist Cafe is a straight winner.

I came here for lunch and ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad, but had them turn it into a wrap. The woman at the register said that was fine, but didn't tell me it would cost more money. She…

The first time I came here, I was drawn by the promise of a jerk chicken sandwich. I know, sounds good, right? I had originally searched for French bistros in the San Jose area, hoping for a break…

Amanda G. and Melanie A. and I went here for a late lunch today. Finding a table was no problem, as not many other people were there.
I had trouble deciding between all of the options: hot…

This place has some unconventional hours. They don't seem to be open on Mondays or Saturdays. For just being a lunch place, I would have assumed that they'd be open on Mondays, but I guess not.…
