Hi, I'm Phil Cushman and I'm the new owner of the House of Brass. After managing the store for seven and a half years, I bought the store from the previous owner in February of 2004 when he decided it was time to retire. There's a bit of irony about how I came to the House of Brass. About eight years ago, I was working as a sales person at Staples where I helped out the previous owner with a computer purchase. He was so impressed with my customer service that he tried to talk me into working for him.

I didn't take him up on the offer then, but a while later when I was in between jobs, I called him up and started working for him. I've been a part of the House of Brass ever since. It's funny, I originally turned down an offer that I ended up taking all the way into ownership. I used to skateboard by the store as a kid when it was in Los Gatos and I'd wisecrack at the owner, "HEY! YOU GOT ANY BRASS?" and now the owner is me.

BTW, yes we have Brass, but also a whole lot more.
