Hairstyling for all types: women, men, conservative, punk, wild, mild, classy, or sassy

I've been a hair stylist for six and a half years, and I love it. For me, working with hair is fascinating because it all relates to math, science, and the arts ñ my special interests. Every day, as I communicate with people about the health of their hair and work to get everyone's hair looking its best, I think about angles, design, art, and the physiology of hair (how it reacts to different products and treatments). So, I not only like personal and artistic aspects of hairstyling ñ communicating with my clients, learning about who they are and figuring out how to express that through their hair ñ but I also like the science of working with hair. I'm a very easygoing person, but I'm great with details, so I take a lot of time with my clients to get things right.

When I'm not at Palazzi Salon, I play drums in an all-girl band, the Deadutantes. Sometimes people are surprised I'm a hairstylist because I'm such a tomboy: I love skateboarding, camping, snowboarding, and hanging out with my dog, Buc.
