Tango Domingo is a special monthly event hosted by Tango Fantastico on the second Sunday of each month, including a Tango workshop and potluck social. During the workshop alternate perspectives, styles and techniques will be introduced, explained and demonstrated. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time for practice and opportunities to socialize with teachers and students while sharing some light refreshments. Occasionally, visiting teachers from Argentina will join us for the workshop. Regular price is $15 per person, but when visiting teachers are present, price is generally $25 per person. [ more info ]
The Thrift Box in Downtown Willow Glen is pleased to announce our Annual Art Sale, February 13-25. We'll be offering original oil paintings, watercolors, and exciting decorator pieces!
The Thrift Box, open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm, is run by volunteers from the San Jose Auxiliary of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. All proceeds from sales are donated to the hospital to treat Bay Area children whose families could not otherwise afford it, and to fund other special projects at Packard Children's Hospital.
