Posted on Feb 17 2012, 06:44 PM
The Downtown Campbell Business Association (DCBA) is delighted to announce that Sonya Paz, owner of Sonya Paz Gallery, has agreed to serve as president of the organization for the coming 2012 year. The announcement was made by Dana Smith of the Stone Griffin Gallery and fellow DCBA board member at the DCBA monthly meeting on February 1, 2012.

Sonya brings many years of business management and branding expertise. "I know that Sonya will provide the leadership and vision that the DCBA needs to make downtown Campbell thrive" said Dana Smith, Vice President and owner of the Stone Griffin Gallery, "Sonya has been a merchant here in downtown Campbell for quite a few years, and has always gone that extra mile."

Sonya was awarded with the DCBA Volunteer of the Year in 2010. "Sonya has been the driving force behind the monthly Third Friday ArtWalks as well as the wildly popular biannual Wine Walks" says Neil Collins, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. "Both of these regular events draw hundreds of people to Downtown Campbell, and the Wine Walks have become one of the strongest fundraisers for the DCBA, permitting the organization to continue to provide free community events. Having donated countless hours of her time and artistic talent to providing much of the graphic design for the DCBA, producing brochures and logos for many different purposes, and is a very active member of the Board of Directors of the DCBA."

Sharing the DCBA board responsibilities are Dana Smith - Vice President, Sally Howe - Secretary, Rosetta Chow - Treasurer and Memberships, Brook Ramirez - Events Coordinator, Laura Taylor Moore - Board Member.
