State Senator Jim Beall is sponsoring a free Healthcare & Medicare Forum at Campbell Community Center on Saturday, October 5, 9am-12pm to help consumers understand their health care coverage choices with the advent of the Affordable Care Act on January 1, 2014.

Beginning January 1, 2014, the Affordable Care Act will expand access to public and private health coverage to low-income people who have been previously ineligible for health insurance. Millions in our state soon will be able to receive Medi-Cal or premium and cost-sharing subsidies to help them buy insurance though Covered California, a state-sanctioned marketplace for affordable private health insurance.

At the forum on October 5, community representatives from Covered California as well as Medicare expert Connie Corrales, of the Council on Aging Silicon Valley, will explain the new changes and give up-to-date information. This special meeting will enable you to take control of your healthcare costs and your health!

For more information, please phone Jim Beall's office at 408-558-1295 or click here.
