Campbell Library partners with Santa Clara County Mental Health Department to present a two-day Mental Health First Aid Training, Dec.2 and Dec.9.   This is an 8-hour interactive course that is free and available for the public.    This course meets the qualifications for 8 hours of continuing education for LCSW’s and LMFT’s as required by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Participants must attend both parts to be eligible to take the optional test on 12/9 for Mental Health First Aid Certification.

Participants will learn

  • a 5-step action plan to apply Mental Health First Aid until appropriate professional help is available.
  • the risk factors and warning signs associated for the most common mental health problems
  •  knowledge about how to reduce the impact of mental illness.

It is recommended that participants are 17 years old or older.

Please register by phone 408-866-1991 or in person at Campbell Library.  Space is limited to 20 people.
