THUMBS UP ON SCOTT HYVER VISIONCARE

RATING:

Thumbs Up!

I had wanted laser eye surgery for many years, however, it was always a little too pricey for me. Nor did I want to go to one of the "laser mills" that seem to have abounded. My employer at the time held a Benefits Fair about 3 1/2 years ago, and Scott Hyver Visioncare happened to be there. There were offering ADAC employees an incredible deal so on the spur of the moment I scheduled an appointment. As of January 8, I have had no glasses/no contacts for three years and I LOVE IT!!! After my appointment I followed up with my eye doctor of 25+ years to get his opinion (Dr. Peter Ross on Hamilton Ave. - I highly recommend him!). Dr. Ross concurred with everything that Scott Hyver recommended (tho' he would have preferred me to use one of the experts on his list...). I am (was) very near-sighted (20/100 in left eye, 20/300 in right). Because of being in my 40's, it was suggested that I have done what's called 'mono-surgery'. This is where one eye is corrected a little less than the other eye, which makes for the ability of reading close up (think medicine bottles and menus) and far away (think everything past arms length). Now, when my friends are passing around the reading glasses, I just smile (okay, say a few comments too - HEY, I've had to wear glasses/contacts since I was nine). Everyone FROM the front desk to follow-up was always very nice, and professional. Their facility is in an office suite, very clean and comfortable (there is even a TV if you want to watch somebody getting their surgery done). They talked with me through the entire surgery, let me know what they were doing as they were doing it, which helped relieve any nervousness, i.e., heart palpitations I was having. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my experience.
