What is most significant about the film is its accurate representation of the unquestioning obedience to authority among the LDS faithful that, unknown to many outside the LDS faith and culture, continues to this day. Those who state that the LDS church is a cult are not far off the mark. The “blood oaths” taken by the LDS faithful in their temple ceremony continued in various forms until the late 1980s and “enforcers” sanctioned by the church are a historical reality.

The stark and disturbing yet accurate portrayal of the LDS psychological and social collective is alone worth seeing this film.
