Bev Barnett is a performing songwriter, collaborating with Greg Newlon in a contemporary acoustic duo known for its sophisticated harmonies and intricate guitar arrangements. Their CD, Any Doorway Will Do, will be officially released in early 2007. Barnett & Newlon began the TrueWind Music Concert Series at the Espresso Garden & Café in 2003, presenting an eclectic line up of folk, jazz, world and singer-songwriters until the café closed in 2006. Since then they have presented house concerts at their home in Campbell, Calif. Barnett is on the board of directors for the West Coast Songwriters, responsible for the organization’s competitive showcase program with eight events each month held throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and in Hollywood. She has also recently been named to the board of directors for the Folk Alliance-Region West, responsible for the educational program for its annual conference to be held Nov. 2 - 4, 2007 in Vancouver, Washington.
