About aworkofheart
I am fortunate enough to be living a dream. I get paid to make scrapbooks for other people. In growing this business over the past eight years, I've accumulated quite an array of "stuff".
This "stuff" grew out of my garage and into a public studio in December 2003. My 1000sf Rose Garden studio was homey but off the beaten path. The Business' continued growth brought me to Willow Glen in July 2004.
First and foremost I am a wife and mother. Balancing family, school and work is quite a challenge. Consequently the studio (or creative lounge as I now call it) is open by appointment. Some call it a scrapbooker's ideal workroom and others who enjoy a more organic way of art enjoy encorporating the supplies available into personal art.
Altered art is a form I'm most drawn to. Mainly because it has few rules and I'm able to set my own. I love "playing" with my tools and supplies to simply see what I'll end up with. This is what the creative lounge is designed for: a relaxed time with the things I love, my favorite music and kindred spirits.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
someone who enjoyed their life's work
My hobbies, interests, and special skills
as mentioned, art with an emphasis on paper, journaling and balancing quite a number of plates at one time
Unusual facts and stories about me
I have triplet brothers who are 24 years younger than I am.
If you're married or committed, say something about your other half. How did you meet and what sparked your interest?
I'm married to an incredible man who rocks my world. He is so capable and helping everyone is envious. He is the one to thank for walls, websites and courage. I owe all the success of the studio to him. He has never once complained about being left home with the kids AGAIN when I have to run off to work.
Do you have kids or own any pets?
both! Three kids: My girls are in kinder and 3rd grades at Hacienda and my son is in 6th at Willow Glen Elementary.
We love kitties and have 3: Peek-a-boo is a huge black panther cat, Molly is our calico and Mezay is our oreo cookie monster.

About my favorite childhood toy
The raw materials always inspired me more than a particular toy. I built houses out of boxes, furniture out of paper and scraps of fabric. This was obviously the beginning of my love of altered art.
