Review Title: An Uncommon Bagel - Tasty and not too Bready [ View All Reviews ]

An easily overlooked strip mall hidden away in sleepy Saratoga isn't where you'd expect to find a gem of a bagel shop, but if you've ever been to Saratoga Bagels, you know what I'm talking about. Their bagels may look a little undersized to some, but they're a lot denser than most bagels you find around the Valley and they're nothing like the chewy bread rings that you'd find at supermarkets. They also come in all the usual varieties that you'd expect from a respectable bagelry.

There's nothing too unusual offered, just great bagels. My favorites from them are their whole wheat cinnamon raisin and their tri-seed bagels. When you pay them a visit, it's better to get there early in the day while everything is still fresh and all their varieties are still in stock. Most of the time when I get there in the afternoon, they're out or almost out of my favorites.
