Review Title: A Fun and Secret Eatery for Greek food [ View All Reviews ]

Getting here is half the fun. Athena Grill is one of those secret eateries lost on its own island in an office/industrial zone hidden away from the rest of the world. Usually the fact that secret eateries remain unknown is no big loss, but this is one of them worth discovering and judging by the full house at dinner when we went there,
Athena Grill isn't much of a secret.

It still is hard to find though. I used to work a few blocks away and I never noticed it until a dinner social event posted by FlyGirl last week. Considering its location, I was expecting the place to be a crumbling dive with bare interiors, but it was a surprisingly cheery and colorful place. If you work near Central Expwy or San Tomas Expwy in the Santa Clara area, this is the perfect place to go with some co-workers at lunch when you want to impress them with your knowledge of backroad esoterica.

It's inexpensive and the food was pretty good. I just had a Gyro with Greek Fries and ArsNova had the Lamb Chops. The lamb chops were very tasty, but the portion wasn't very big. I'm don't know Greek food that well so I can't make much of a judgement but to say I'd eat there again. Considering that it was packed at 8pm for the location that it's in, there's gotta be a reason.
