I love the food and go here often! Sushi is one of my favorite foods -- I could eat it everyday. And this place is conveniently located down the street from me. I haven't sampled much of the non-sushi items but the bites I've tried from my friends' meals were good. My favorite roll is the Titanic. I don't remember exactly what's in it but I think it's basically a
California roll with raw fish on top. Sometimes the presentation isn't top-notch (and in Japanese culture, presentation is very important) but the food always tastes great and the price is very reasonable.

The service is not the best but the sushi chef is always friendly. Service is definitely one area they could improve on. I think part of it is the waitress' lack of English skills, and also the fact that in many Asian cultures customer service is a very foreign concept. I've never had them offer to refill my water glass, and I usually need a refill during a meal.

I was reluctant to try this place at first because I think I ate at another place of the same name in Downtown SJ before and it was manufactured stuff that they try to pass off as sushi, much like the stuff you get at Costco, Safeway or Trader Joe's. That stuff is not sushi nor is it palatable. But my neighbor suggested Sushi Zone so I tried it and was not disappointed.
