The Barefoot is Beautiful! Beyond the fact that this is my favorite place in the South Bay to find a good cup of coffee or espresso, Barefoot Coffee Roasters provides a great atmosphere for small progressive groups and community discussions to take place- many an afternoon has passed when I've walked into local meetings of peace activists :) This area sorely needs more spaces that are community-friendly and not solely designed to accommodate simple commerce, but Barefoot is a small oasis.
