We are doing a dinner social for September and we are going to celebrate three things: Mexican Indepence day (9/15), Summer, and volleyball. There is a sand court on the patio. We will be joining MR Bill and Senor Reed for their normal volleyball Wednesdays. Come out, have a toast, and enjoy the end of summer. Burgers, sandwiches, and beer are the top picks. Darts, making fun of Eric playing volleyball and cussing in Russian are top activities. Hope to see you there.

Join us for Social Wave's July Dinner Social at Effie's Restaurant in Campbell. Why Effie's? Well, there's a huge array of good food at either end of the price spectrum (a killer sandwich and fries for $8, or a fancy steak and fixings for $22), the service is great, and...well...they have air conditioning!!! Since we're tired of endlessly sweating, we think that in itself is a good enough recommendation. Sheldon and I can think of no place better to be on a hot summer night.

Dinner Group: When and Where Shall We Eat in March?

All right, ladies and gentlemen! Does anyone have any suggestions of places where we could eat dinner together in March? The only requirements are:
1) They have to accept reservations.
2) They're preferably locally-owned. Big chains just aren't as much fun, and Social Wave always leans toward supporting the "little guys".
Also, does anyone have a suggestion of a date? Usually, we meet on Thursdays, which is the night of the week...more

Event: Eat at Mama Mia's to Support XMas Care Packages to Troops

Communities of Hope worked hard last year to bring phone cards to the troops on the USS Eisenhower. This year, they are sending Christmas Care packages to men and women in several branches of the military. Mama Mia's Restaurant, at 200 E. Hamilton Avenue (at the corner of Hamilton and N. Third Street), will be donating a portion of their proceeds on Monday, October 22 to this great cause. Be there!

Third Street), will be donating 20% of their proceeds on Monday, October 2, 11am-9:30pm, to Communities of Hope's campaign to provide phone cards to each of the entire 5,700 member personnel of the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower.

Let's have an informal dinner social this month at La Pizzeria in Downtown Campbell. It's a relatively new dining spot, right next to Katie Bloom's, that offers a mix of fresh salads and traditional Italian-style pizzas. They don't take reservations there, but I've been told by the waiters that we'll be able to find seating at that hour on a Thursday without a problem.
La Pizzeria is run by the same couple that owns A'Bellagio restaurant (located right next door to the King's Head Pub), and features a cozy atmosphere combined...more
