Parks writes songs that set scenes, tell stories, and dramatize conversations. She has introspective vulnerability and a folk-rock sensibility, but with a theatrical touch. Her lyrics are sharp, her melodies memorable, and she's not afraid of controversial subjects, such as corporate greed, the scandals in the Catholic Church, and the ravages of addiction. Downtown Campbell's First Friday is hosting Furry Friends Rescue tonight! Furry Friend's volunteers will be set up on the sidewalk of downtown with a selection of (homeless) dogs and cats.
Furry Friends is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding homes for companion animals in the San Francisco Bay Area.
All animals are fostered in volunteer homes.
