The Tapestry Arts Festival is a Downtown San Jose tradition that started off as the well known "Tapestry in Talent" festival that's held annually on Labor Day Weekend. This festival is a total wonderland for anyone who enjoys Art & Wine / Crafts festivals. On most years that I've gone, it was the largest festival in all of the South Bay with more artisan vendors, more stages, more food booths, more exhibits, and more people!

If you go, be sure to check their site for parking info because that's the only thing about this festival that's not wonderful.

Festival Highlights

350 artists & craftspeople

4 entertainment stages: Blues, Rock, Jazz & Classical music, dance and theatre

35 food booths

Creativity Zone

Free hands-on art activities for kids of all ages

Design for Living Home Show

Indoor home & garden show

Interactive Alley

Rock climbing wall, hang gliding simulator,
golf, spas & jacuzzis and much more

More Info

30th Annual Tapestry Arts Festival
Date:9/3 - 9/5 -
City: San Jose
Cost: FREE

This is an automatically generated copy of a General Community Event posted to the Social Wave Calendar [View Event Page]

OK Here's my rant. I know I can take my money and go elsewhere, and I will in the future. This is a trend in restaurants that pisses me off.

No matter when I go the Spaghetti Factory in downtown San Jose, they tell you 20- 30 minute wait, maybe an hour maybe 2. Was there July 31 at 5PM. Give the hostess our name get the pager, and say to my son, let's look at the street car. Well the whole F'in room is empty! What are we waiting for. We look at the cable car for a second or two, and see there is ONE occupied table in the street car.The street car is cool and old fashioned we all agree. We ask if we can get a table there. WELL, that will mean a longer wait. What do the need to maintain their inventory of empty seats. Do they think our dining experience is enhanced by waiting! That's my rant, and I feel better.
