Rio Del Mar, usually at the very end of Beach Dr (last parking lot), by the fire pits, he is going a bonfire (bring wood), at dusk.

Food: He is setting up the BBQ, making dogs to share. Please bring something to share and/ or grill and BYOB (drinks).

He will set up a net, get in the water, try to surf (he is old you know), and generally make you feel like you have been missing the beach your whole life. I grew up going to the beach and I feel like a novice around him. Non volleyballers are welcome. None of his family play and half the people are there to walk, talk and relax. Only the fine tuned athletes compete, between meals and beer of course.

My guess times:
he is there early, start looking for him on the beach 10am;
Lunch 12- 1pm Hot dogs (and Potluck);
Dinner 6- 7pm - after volleyball (Pot Luck and bring your own meat);
Bonfire 8:30pm as sun sets (wood appreciated).

Come join us at Seacliff beach, South side of the pier. It is the best place for sand volleyball as you have the cool shade of the pier to revive you between games. Watch Raul and Veronica (Irina's daughter) run from the waves.

I would like to start early, have lunch, and make a Raul day... become one with the sun! We will be there around 11am, depending on traffic. Give us a break if we a 10 minutes late.

Lets make it a pot luck. Bring your food to share. I will bring plates,
utensils, and a table to put the food on. We will take a break around 2pm when we are at peak participation to have a group lunch. Please post what you are bringing if you can so we don't all bring chips.

Suggestions:
Watermelon
Fruit Salad
Macaroni Salad
Potato Salad
Sub Sandwich sliced in 2" pcs
chicken pcs, fried or otherwise
Guacamole or salsa and chips (my personal favorite)
Drinks, something original (Margaritas, mojitos, Ice tea, kool aid)
Sweets: brownies, cookies, straight sugar (Peter's favorite)
Chicken or fish tostadas

Any and all suggestions are welcomed.
