Review of Yahoo DSL
Description: Yahoo DSL service is the result of their partnership with SBC
Global. They offer both dynamic IP and static IP DSL services for
home and business. The service package includes up to ten free
Yahoo Mail accounts, and special deals on other Yahoo services.

Review Title: Few Outages, Consistent Speed, Cheap!
Overall Score: 10
(Overall Satisfaction: 10, Data Connectivity: 10, )

My Opinion:
We've had a variety of broadband service providers and the one that we have now is probably the one that we'll be sticking with for the foreseeable future. While, I've heard others who've had horror stories with SBC Global DSL (Pac Bell), I've had almost no complaints after getting over a bad initial experience with their customer service while trying to troubleshoot my self installation.

The customer service was not the most helpful, but then again, you don't get great tech support over the phone often anyway. At least I've very rarely had to call their support lines. In my first year of service, I've had only a few short outages of service and one of them was the result of a Squirrel chewing through my phone circuits in the telecomm box down the street.

While I'd love to see faster speeds, I really can't complain at $29/month. Download speeds range from 384Kbps to 1.5Mbps and I get around 1.4Mbps consistently on the downloads.

Review Title: Customer service is pretty bad
My Rating: It's OK

My Opinion:
I tried upgrading to PRO only to find I wasn't physically close enough. However, they kept trying (even after I said to stop). Each time it would break my service. I got fed up and went to Cable.

If you live in the right area, the discount price is pretty good, and it's certainly better than dial-up.
