When there's money involved, rules can always be circumvented. The indignity that happened to Giambi will probably do more to stem steroid usage than the testing itself. If something's undetectable, what's the point of testing anyway? I suppose it'll be enough of a deterrent to keep some players from using steroids and if enough players turn away, maybe fewer players will feel like they need to juice to match others in the longball.
